I will hopefully find more time to write later today, but right now I have a few pressing AMSA things to attend to that are wearing on my conscious and forcing an overwhelming sense of guilt. I especially want to get a moment to reflect on this past year and write about my hopes for 2014. (maybe even post a few of my photos! They have been piling up since mid December)
I will sum up in bullets what I have been up to :)
- Learned to drive stick shift
- Gone Rollerblading both in Blacksburg and back home
- Learned how to play racquetball
- Learned how to shoot a bow and arrow
- Pangelinan Christmas Party
- Todai with my family
- Iceskating in Reston Town Center and the Counter with the Corner
- Playing tennis in the cold
- Going swimming at Oak Marr
- Christmas Dinner at the Webers
- Festival of Lights
- Went out dancing at the Park at 14th
- Matt's Cookie Party
- Costco trip with my parents
- Gone shopping for the perfect red lipstick with Joy
- Tim visit
- New Years Eve dinner with my parents and tons of russian salads
- New Year's Eve Party at Caity's
- Getting back into running after being sick in December
- Went to DC - Natural History Museum, Art Gallery, Botanical Gardens, Air in Space, and Busboys and Poets - walked home in the snow
- Went Iceskating at Fairfax Ice Arena
- Hung out with Joy at her new apartment
- Royal Tea Party at Michelle's House
- Shooting range with my dad
- Dinner at awesome restaurants like Yechon and Yazamoto
- Watched "Flashdance: The Musical" at the Kennedy Center
- Finished "Speaker for the Dead" and "My Horizontal Life" - loved the first, hated the second - now I'm reading Orange is the New Black, The Valley of Amazement and listening to the Omnivore's Dilemma on audiobook
- Got a primary care physician for the area and started filling out medical forms for Penn State
- Slowly purchasing things for PGS like my textbooks and a winter coat and extra contacts
Thats...basically my last two/three weeks. I guess I've been having a really good time, I'm just not really feeling like myself lately.
The next couple of weeks will be as much of a blur. Hopefully this week I will see a few friends to catch up one-on-one and then I leave for NJ to visit Tim. We're going to NYC to see Wicked (his Christmas present for me) and then going skiing for two days. Then when I get back I plan on finishing up the last of packing and getting ready for my trip. This all so surreal.
